As scope grows, authority can centralize around you before the accountability structure around you evolves.

The signals are usually operational rather than dramatic and show up in patterns.
In leadership, they often look like:

Individually, each instance is manageable. Collectively, they compress your bandwidth.
The cost is not just time.

Repositioning for the Level You’re Entering
Addressing this stage requires making explicit what has been operating informally, both in leadership and in life.
In leadership, that often means:

The objective is not detachment.
It is durability.
When authority and accountability are intentionally placed, stability no longer depends on your proximity. Progress continues — even when you are not directly reinforcing it.
That is what restores strategic range.
That is what makes growth sustainable, whether the transition is professional, personal, or both.
